Benefits of a Straighter Smile

Crooked teeth can can impact the health and appearance of your smile. When your teeth are misaligned and do not fit together properly, they are harder to keep clean, increasing your risk of tooth decay and gum disease. In addition, an uneven bite can lead to headaches, issues with your jaw joints and muscles, and neck pain. Straightening your smile with orthodontics can address these concerns and help you achieve a more beautiful, symmetrical smile.

What Clear Braces Can Do

Invisalign® and ClearCorrect® can treat many of the same conditions as traditional metal braces, including:

  • Overbites
  • Underbites
  • Crossbites
  • Overcrowding
  • Gaps in your smile
  • Open bites

Our clear braces systems use BPA-free plastic aligners that fit over the tops of your teeth. We can craft a series of customized aligners designed to gradually guide your teeth into the proper position.

Your Orthodontic Consultation

If you are interested in straightening your smile, the first step is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Dogra or Dr. Pinette. During your appointment, you can sit down with your dentist and discuss the treatment options available. We may also take x-rays and digital impressions with our advanced TRIOS® system. Once complete, we will send your impressions electronically to Invisalign® or ClearCorrect®.

In comparison to traditional metal braces, clear aligners are a more comfortable and less disruptive way to straighten your smile.

During your next visit, we can map out how your teeth will move over the course of your treatment. This will help us to provide a more precise treatment timeline and projected cost. If you decide to proceed with clear aligners, we can send for your first set of trays so you can begin right away.

Life with Clear Braces

In comparison to traditional metal braces, clear aligners are a more comfortable and less disruptive way to straighten your smile. Each set of trays is carefully crafted to apply consistent pressure to your teeth. Over the course of treatment, you will graduate to the next set of aligners about every two weeks until your teeth reach their desired position. Since the trays are clear and removable, you can experience a range of advantages over traditional options, including:

  • Increased comfort
  • Normal brushing and flossing
  • More discreet treatment
  • No food restrictions

You will need to wear your clear aligners at least 22 hours every day and only remove them to eat, brush, or floss. We typically recommend patients visit our office about every six weeks or so, so Dr. Dogra or Dr. Pinette can check your progress and provide you with additional aligners.

I have very bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist. But the staff at both facilities are very attentive, and they show concern and make sure you feel comfortable. They also take their time explaining things. I appreciate that.
